This has been quite a fruitful year so far and things are looking good! I've managed to produce 4 beatCds this year and 2 new Cds are in the making as we speak.
I'm flipping the script on one of those a little, experimenting a bit more with drumpatterns and structures and getting some Jazz and Glitch in there. The other Cd will be a follow-up to the HATMAN! instrumentals.
I'm also looking forward to finishing up my first album with Jo Blunt, hopefully around end of this year. This will contain all of our previously released tracks like Funny Cats and Devils Doing and a lot of new material as well.
Another project that I'm excited about is producing for my good friend and London-based spoken-word artist Lion Rai. Ideas have just been born a few weeks ago. I've posted a track he's done with Alex Wild on this blog earlier, which is obviously quite different music than usually posted here.
The beat that actually triggered the whole plan is "Madrigal" (track 19) from the HATMAN! 2 instrumental Cd and I'm working on a lot more experimental tracks that go beyond the usual song structures.
More info on my collaboration with Lion Rai will follow.
Look out for more beats and tracks with Baron Von Alias, Jo Blunt and Dangerous!
I was enjoying myself with a little freestyle session on some basic movie-editing software and made a little video for the Ghost Train instrumental. I incorporated some new samples from YouTube clips as well, dropping some random soundbites. Check it out.
Another FREE download, this new track reflects the riots that occured in Vancouver last night when the Canucks lost the Stanley Cup. Jo Blunt: 061511 produced by yours truly
Two new ARHAT instrumental CD's are in the making, this time under the alias of HATMAN!
The first of the series should be available within a few months and will contain about 20 new beats, from classic hiphop to obscure psych references from all over the globe.
I'm also still working on-and-off on my animated video but I'm not sure about the medium to use. It will be either a claymation (stop-motion) or a hand-drawn animation incorporating live-action footage. I've posted a still of the latter below. Both ideas are currently tested but in both cases it's likely it will feature the HATMAN! character, who is also sporting the covers for the upcoming beat CD's.
I can't say if I'll manage to drop another beatcd this month but there's definitely some work done lately.
Joe Blunt and Dangerous (from Rhymists, Canada) are featuring on a lot of my productions so no doubt some tracks will pop up soon enough, as well as some other respected MCs later to be named. I dusted off my long-delayed "big" solo album, finally working towards (some kind of) end product and extended my little studio a bit with some new equipment. In the meanwhile check out these new BBB tracks:

Things are getting weirder and weirder.. The Baron has been missing now for weeks and his YouTube account has been deleted. And who the hell is this Lord Drater???
The Baron Von Alias videos on YouTube are no longer available due to some copyright issues over one or more remixes. So this includes all of the original work and the tracks we did together as well.
I'm sure most of the videos will pop up soon enough (if not already) on plenty of other websites though, but it's still a bit dissapointing.
Coming up also is my BULGARIA beat cd - currently working on a new series of instrumentals as HATMAN and some collabo efforts..
My first beatcd for 2011 "I Ate the Sky" is finally here. Contains about half an hour of new hiphop instrumentals. Currently only available by request.
Available now at Baron Von Alias' BandCamp page is Out-of-Body Experience: Astral Projection
Astral Projection Features BONUS Tracks not included on OBE, 20 tracks in total and 8 extra tracks for your money, still for the amazing price of £1.99/2,30Eu, check it out.
Also check out Baron on YouTube, he's dropping video after video!
In the meanwhile, first sketches are being made for a possible ARHAT video. Updates on that will follow (hopefully) soon enough...
Expected instrumental CDs:
ARHAT: Bulgaria
ARHAT: I Ate the Sky
Out-of-Body Experience is the third Baron Von Alias/ARHAT collabo album since The 13th Hour and GMT+1 and highly unlikely to be the last.
It's been two weeks since the official release on 1/1/11 and we're getting a lot of positive feedback.

The album is available for download at BandCamp.com and iTunesfor a mere 2,30Euros/2 pounds! So if you dig what we're doing, show some support!
